Halloween Costumes for This Year’s Kids Party

span style=”font-size: 12pt; font-family: “Times New Roman”;”>Halloween is fast approaching. Only a few days left and we’ll all be enjoying the party. Were you able to make a perfect plan for your Halloween costume this year? How about your kids? Do they have the best kids costume for this year? Letting kids wear last years costume is not a good idea so, we’ll start by introducing bright ideas for this year’s celebration.

Scary costumes are always fit for the celebration, but Halloween party does not necessarily mean wearing scary Halloween costumes. Your kid can be a superhero, fairy tale character, cartoon or anime character, a book, a walking shower, a mad scientist or any imaginative character you can think of. All that you need is a little workout on your creativity and imagination. This is the day when you break the rules of letting kids wear their best dresses during parties.

Young boys are always on the adventurous side and giving them superhero costumes will be delightful. The undying craze for Spiderman and Venom is a good combination and are perfect costumes for kids. Ironman, Hulk, and Batman are additional choices suitable for the party. Kids can also portray the villain side characters such as Joker and Darth Vader.

Girls on the other hand are more interested in fairy tale and other female characters. Ariel from the Little Mermaid, Barbie, Hannah, and Gabriella are the most popular costumes for girls today. Fairy tale characters like Tinkerbell, Dorothy, Rapunzel, Cinderella, and Snow White are also good costumes for young girls on the magical side of the occasion. Mix all these Halloween costumes with good decorations will blowout one good party.

For kids who want some scary looks, the traditional vampire, skeleton, mummy, jester, witch, wizard, and zombie are among the best choices that will surely satisfy the desire for scary looks. Just remember not put to much violent materials on a kid’s costume as some kids might find it bloody and get carried away. Most of these costumes are suitable for both genders.

Finding these incredible costumes is easy. You can pick any of these at the nearest store or have a look for more selection online. There are thousands of online stores that have wide collection of costumes that you can choose from. But before placing anything to the shopping cart, make sure to compare prices and inquiry additional detail about your pick.

The purpose of the celebration is to enjoy and feel the spirit of Halloween. No matter what costumes you choose for your kids make sure that it offers the comfort they need. These costumes will definitely not offer the same relaxation they’ll experience on their regular dresses. Informing them on things they need to adjust with the costume for the next few hours will be beneficial. The celebration can last for few hours, but the experience will remain forever. Let kids enjoy the celebration and Happy Halloween!

Toddlers Costume

Cheap Halloween Costumes

Finding the perfect Halloween costume can end up to be quite time consuming.  One can spend hours surfing different websites looking at costume ideas.  Flipping back and forth between websites can become cumbersome and can often cause confusion.  There is now a site that has inventory from over 20 different online suppliers.  The costumes are separated into appropriate categories and include price, vendor and shipping information.

Some of the categories include:  Adult Halloween Costumes, Superhero Costumes, Hannah Montana costumes, Batman Costumes, Baby and Toddler Costumes.  Shoppers just need to log onto Cheap Halloween Costumes and choose an appropriate cateogory.  Pictures of the costumes are shown along with detailed descriptions.  New costumes and categories will be added daily right up to Halloween Day.

Many online Halloween Costume suppliers will offer either free or very reasonable shipping for Halloween Costumes.  It’s a good idea to start shopping for your costume early as the more unique costumes tend to sell out rather quickly.  There truly is a costume for everyone, both young and old, at  Cheap Halloween Costumes.  Every year, costume designers come up with outrageous ideas for Halloween, which helps make Halloween season so much fun for the whole family.  A recent trend has been for the whole family to dress up for Halloween and it seems as though homes are decorated as much for Halloween as they are for the Christmas Holidays.

Trick-or-Treaters need to be careful and wear either bright costumes and have flashlights.  Always check your children’s candy and goodies carefully before you let them dive into it.  At our house, my youngest one always seems to eat too much candy on Halloween night.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween.

Boys Costumes

Balloon Boy Costume – Get Your Balloon Boy Costume Fast!

It is not surprising that someone has created a balloon boy costume just in time for Halloween.  If you want extra candy at every door, be sure to get your balloon boy costume now.

The costume idea is the result of two parents in Colorado pretending that their 6-year old boy sailed off accidentally in a home-made hot air balloon.  The cops, air patrol, and even the FCC were notified in attempt to save the young one, and of course, the press came along and eventually made this into a national story.

Unknown at the time, the boy was hiding in the attic the entire time.  This hoax was a setup by the parents Richard and Mayumi Heene to get some national exposure for their reality TV hopes.  Richard and Mayumi had met in acting school in Hollywood, and recently appeared on the Wife Swap show on TLC.  Everything would have worked great except for this line that the 6-year old uttered on CNN during a live interview: “You guys said we did this for the show.”

Now the parents are under investigation, charges have been filed, and they will probably spend some time in jail.  And instead of the parents profiting from their nation-wide stunt, other companies are making money from their stupidity.

Plantraco Microflight, a company out of Canada, is selling a one-of-a-kind Balloon Boy Custome.  The kit includes a 38-inch Mylar balloon, laser cut gondola and an instruction sheet on how to attach the gondola to the balloon.  It is selling for $19.99 online, so be sure to get yours before time runs out!

Costumes For Toddlers

Top 5 DIY Halloween Costumes For Toddlers and Kids

Halloween is almost here and you still have time to get your kids some trick-or-treat Halloween costumes. But come to think of it, it isn’t really practical to buy a costume from the kids’ department at your local mall since the following year your kids will be bigger and taller, and their costumes would be out-of-date.

A better and practical way to solve this problem is to DIY or do it yourself. You can save a lot from DIY Halloween costumes for kids because you won’t be wasting a couple of dollars for each kid each year. Even if you do spend some dollars, it won’t be such a waste of money afterwards especially if you will just purchase small items to complete the look of your kids’ costumes.

In order to come up with costumes from ordinary clothing and/or materials that are available at home, you should think first of themes or characters for your kids. If you are like most parents who do not have the time to do some arts and crafts project, you can always use what’s available and easy to make.

Below are 5 DIY Halloween costumes that are easy and cheap to assemble:

(1) The Black Ninja

This is very simple to create and you only need black long-sleeved shirts, black pants or sweatpants, black socks and shoes [sneakers preferably] and black ski masks. They may look like burglars if they don’t have ninja swords and you can make these out of cardboards and some silver paper. You can also add each a colored-belt using thin scrap fabrics that you can get from craft stores or from your local seamstress for free.

Your kids can form a band of ninjas and you can also alter the color of their costumes by using colored shirts and pants.

(2) The Break Dancer

Now, this is pretty easy. Look into your kid’s wardrobe and most likely he has a beanie, a hooded jacket and a printed shirt. Jeans and sneakers are always good segments for this look. You can also add a single glove to complete the look and of course an appropriate hairstyle. Your kid may look like an ordinary kid this way, but adding a prop sound system made of cardboard that he could carry will do the trick. Make this prop sound system his goody bag by making it from a box with an opening and latch to secure the goodies inside.

(3) Mummy kiddos

Some prefer to use ordinary tissue rolls in creating a mummy, but using rolled paper towels are better since they are tougher and wider. Roll the paper towels around your kids’ body, limbs and head, but do not cover the face, you can use make up to create a scary face. Make sure that your kids’ are wearing shirts and tights or shorts underneath. They should also wear socks and white sneakers, if they have white.

You can use ordinary glue to stick the paper towels together. Leave some paper towels hanging and put makeup on each kid.

(4) Zombie kids

Creating a zombie clan is also very easy. You only need imagination and makeup to create a scary look for each kid. As for their clothes, choose the ones that are already very worn out so you can put holes and tear some parts. You can layer their costumes by using good shirts underneath and the torn ones on top. You can add blood and grime colors using water-based dyes that can be bought in the grocery or craft stores. Do this a few days before trick-or-treat day so the dye can dry.

(5) Vampire clan

Since Twilight is a popular book and movie, why not create a vampire clan based on this popular saga. You can make your kids look like the Cullens or another clan. It only takes some nifty-looking clothes to match the clan and also face powder to make their skins look pale. You may want to add false fangs to complete the look. No contact lenses for the kids, though. Just make them look like the Cullens by wearing light-colored clothes that are similar in style or you wish them to look like the vicious clans or the rouges, you can make them wear darker attire.

Not all parents have the time to create and design a costume from scratch. But with a little creativity and imagination, you will find that your kids’ wardrobe have more than what you need to create a character for him on Halloween.

Dressing Up Costumes

How to Choose the Perfect Princess Dress up Costume

Princesses and dressing up are all the rage among little girls and adults alike. However, choosing a good and quality princess dress up costume for your little girl is not as easy as it seems. There are varying qualities and styles when it comes to the perfect costume. For example, you may find dress up clothes at a dollar store or even at Walmart or Target that will last for a couple wears and then fall apart destined to be thrown in the trash along with your money. On the other hand, you can easliy find beautiful and frilly dress up costumes at local department stores or high-end boutiques that cost a fortune, but will last a longer than their cheaper counterparts.

If you don’t like either of those options, you are like the rest of us, searching for a costume for our girls that is somewhere in between the cheap falling apart costumes and the fancy dresses with the fancy price tag that doesn’t fit into our budget no matter how much we stretch it.

Usually if you can cut out the middle man (a.k.a store, or building) you cut out most of the markup. Department stores and high-end boutiques have to pay thousands in rent, buy racks and pegs, hire sales associates, equipment, heating and lighting bills, etc. Look for online retailers that sell what you are looking for. For example, Cinderella is pretty much every girl’s favorite princess. You will be safe if you buy Cinderella because most girls will adore the dress. So, if you are looking for a Cinderella princess costume, you can Google, “Cinderella princess dress up”.

You can also look for good deals on new costumes on ebay. You can find machine washable costumes for under $30 and free shipping with a generous return policy in most cases. You will want to loook for a costume that is fully serged on all the edges so it doesn’t fray and without a lot of embelleshements to fall off or rip. This especially happens when you get a princess dress that is really full with a tuelle skirt. Little girls tend to step on them and rip the tulle. It is better to buy a fullness slip to go under the princess clothes so the child won’t ruin the dress during her tea party, birthday party, Disneyland vacation , or just every day dress up play.

Most importantly, measure your child to avoid getting the wrong size! You will want to measure how many inches she is from her shoulder to her ankle. Getting a dress that is too long is frustrating to her and you as she steps on the hem and trips as she walks. You will want to get one that will last for a long time and is made from quality fabrics. A good brand is Little Adventures. All of their princess dresses are fully serged, made from soft and comfortable fabrics that are not itchy and they are machine washable. You can find their brand from retailers that sell online, ebay, or at brick and mortar stores.

Good luck choosing the perfect dress for your little princess!

Sale Halloween Costume

5 Reasons to Buy a Halloween Costume from Craigslist

As Halloween approaches, you may be looking for Halloween costume ideas.  Or, you may have a costume already in mind and are just looking to find it for sale.  Yes, you can perform a standard internet search to find a handful of online Halloween costume websites or you can visit a local seasonal store, but I have another suggestion for you.  That suggestion is turning to Craigslist.org.  Why should you buy a costume from Craigslist?

1 – Cheap Prices

As you know, most items sold on Craigslist are used.  This means you should get a discount off the original retail price.  What is nice about costumes is that most people only wear them once and toss them into a closet before waiting until next year to sell on Craigslist.  This means even though you are buying a cheap Halloween costume and a used one, it should be in pretty good shape.  Of course, you want to carefully examine pictures and ask the seller questions too.

2 – Large Selection

With the economy in poor shape, many Americans are trying to make extra money.  This means more people are listing their old costumes on Craigslist.  That $10 or $20 could put gas in the car or go towards some much needed groceries.  As more people list things for sale on the website, you get a larger selection of products.  As for Halloween costumes, you can expand your chances of find a good, cheap outfit by searching more than just a local area.  Whether you do different searches on Craigslist.org or use a Craigslist search tool, expand your reach by searching your three nearest cities.

3 – Hard to Find or Unique Costumes

Not only will you find a wide range of costumes on Craigslist, but some of those may be limited edition, vintage, or just hard to find ones.  Once again, you can expand your reach by searching more than just your local city page.  When it comes to tracking down a vintage or rare costume, you may need to ask the seller to ship the purchase to your home.  While Craigslist warns against shipping (because they are designed to connect local buyers and sellers) it is usually safe if shipping was your idea.

4 – Avoid the Busy Stores

If you thought Black Friday was bad, wait until you see a local Halloween store a few days before Halloween.  Sometimes there isn’t even enough room to move around.  Moreover, many costumes are just tossed around the store by customers who keep changing their mind.  If you want to avoid the last minute rush, hassle, and busy crowds, buying an online Halloween costume or one from Craigslist is recommended.

5 – It Won’t Hurt to Look

Unlike browsing a local store, searching for cheap Halloween costumes on Craigslist is easy.  You don’t waste gas or time visiting nearby stores.  All you do is log onto the internet, visit Craigslist.org, choose your local page and search!  Plus, you can search in the middle of the night if you want!  However, I wouldn’t recommend calling a seller in the middle of the night; that “I want your costume” call should wait until morning.

As you can see, there are a number of benefits to looking for Halloween costumes on Craigslist.  So what are you waiting for?  Halloween will be here before you know it.
